"Divine" (Not Capitalized) was born Harris Glen Milstead (October 19, 1945 – March 7, 1988) in Baltimore, MD. Henry created the Drag Female character "Divine", which character became very famous, so became the Name by which most people know Henry. "Divine", eventually became a Star in my Distant Cousin John Water's films, such as "Pink Flamingos" (1972), "Polyester" (1981), and "Hairspray" (1988).

"Divine" / Harris actually played TWO Roles in "Hairspray":
1) Edna Turnblad, the Mother of Tracy
2) The Sheriff (Arvin Hodgepile) in the final scenes

"Divine" also Starred with Lanie Kazan, Tab Hunter, and Cesar Romero in "Lust in the Dust" (1981), which was NOT a John Waters' film.

"Divine" was my Distant Cousin (Details TBA), as well as John Waters.
