* Networks can be defined using multiple polylines.
* Care must be taken to create proper connections between different polylines.
* A connection requires polyline vertices to be welded.
* Welded vertices can be visualized by generating some additional geometry (spikes).

* The `edit.Fuse()` function can be used to weld vertices that are close together.
* The `poly2d.Stitch()` function can be used to create new welded vertices where polylines intersect
one another.
