EPS 129 (2023) || FMARD/LCRI: Making an Impact in Wheat Production

Can you imagine life without Bread, semolina, Indomie and other foods made from wheat? Can you also imagine the impact self-sufficiency in wheat production can have on the prices of these products and by extension the economy of the nation? These amongst other reasons is why it is imperative that Nigeria takes steps to boost its production. Our focus tonight is on Wheat farming as we examine the wonder crop, its potentials in Nigeria and the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as its partners in boosting production in Nigeria.
