NBS EduCommunity workshop 2024 | Keynote speeches

Organised by the Horizon Europe project NBS EduWORLD, the recent NBS EduCommunity workshop serves as a gathering point for policymakers, education experts, and Nature-based Solutions (NBS) practitioners from across Europe, converging to deliberate on and delineate the future trajectory of NBS education.

In this recording, you can listen to noteworthy presentations by two keynotes speakers: Luis Camargo, representing the Organization for Environmental Education and Protection (OpEPA), who offered a Latin American perspective on NBS education; Ana Mitic-Radulovic from CEUS shared insights into the NBS EduSystem in Belgrade, Serbia, drawing from their substantial experience in NBS educational initiatives. Their presentations shed light on the challenges and requisites encountered in cultivating NBS education.

The outcomes of the workshop will be disseminated and deliberated upon at the forthcoming NBS Education Summit scheduled for September 2024 in Brussels (to be confirmed). It is anticipated that the conclusions drawn and insights garnered will serve as a foundational basis for informing policy recommendations and delineating guidelines for EU policymakers.
