King Charles III - Official Birthday 21 Gun Salute - Edinburgh Castle 15/6/24 (Monopod)

Saturday 15th June 2024 saw a 21 Gun Royal Salute Take place at Edinburgh Castle to celebrate the Official Birthday of King Charles III

The music was provided by The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, a Military Band (RRSMB)

I apologise for music which has had to be trimmed out due to youtube's ContentID system identifying it as being copyrighted (even when its an ancient tune that should never be subject to copyright!)

Another interesting feature of the video, due to the distance from myself high on the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle to the Band/Gunners is the difference between the speed of light (instantaneous) and the speed of sound (much slower!).

The inspecting officer was from The Earl of Kinnoull Commanding Officer of The Atholl Highlanders accompanied by RSM Graham Jack, who were reciprocating as The Governor of Edinburgh Castle was the inspecting officer at the recent Atholl Highlander's annual parade - all available on my channel!
