Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2024 Ram 1500 and you wanna carry those longer items that just won't fit in the back of your bed and you can't put a ladder rack or anything back there because maybe you got tonneau cover back there, well, then a roof racks going to be the next best thing for you. So let's check it out. It's just gonna just free up a lot more space in your bed. So not only will you have that bed space you're utilizing, but this space on top of your cab. And one situation to really think about is if you have something really tall back here, maybe like a fridge, if you have a ladder rack, that probably isn't gonna work together very well.

You can still haul that fridge and have this roof rack on your roof and still have it work. And where I really think this one shines is this is gonna be more of a mid range option, but it's gonna have a lot of integrated features that some of our more premium ones don't have. So let's check it out. You can take a look at all the specs of this kit. So it's gonna come in three parts.

We're gonna have our 59 inch Aero Vortex crossbars. Below that, we're gonna have our 2,500 Series towers, and then we're gonna have the fit kit. So taking a closer look at those crossbar is we're gonna have this aero design to 'em. That aero design's gonna help this be more aerodynamic to help reduce that wind noise. Something else that's gonna help reduce wind noise too is gonna be this weather strip right here.

I like that for a few reasons. It also keeps out any debris from getting in here, and it almost acts as a cushion if you have things that are just gonna sit right on top of that. Now one thing I don't like about these is you have to cut this down to size to fit around whatever gear you have. Because the benefits of having a T-channel up here is if you have any accessories that don't want to wrap around, then you can use this T-channel instead. It also gives you a lot more room to play around with up here.

We will have this channel underneath the crossbar. That's gonna be how your tower mounts. And something else to look at too is gonna be this end cap. Now, this end cap's gonna use a security key to open that up. But if you want something that's gonna be a little bit more secure, you can actually get that traded out later on for a metal locking one. Now as we're talking about that tower now, something I really like about this is straight outta the box, we're getting a metal lock core, which a lot of the more premium ones don't come with a metal lock core right outta the box. So definitely a plus for this. And if I open this up, we can see how everything's working here. And it's a pretty simple design. That's what I like about it. So if you do need to take this off a couple times and maybe go through a car wash, it won't be too bad to do. All this is gonna be is a bolt that comes through, holds this clamp in the place, and secures it down. Now if I put this back on, we can take a closer look at that fit kit too. So this fit kit is gonna be two parts. We're gonna have this metal clamp that grabs into the gutter of your door, and then we're gonna have this rubber pad on the bottom of it that wraps around the contours of your roof. Now as far as this rubber pad is concerned, it's not too bad. It's better than some more premium options I'm seeing out there that is just completely flat. Not a big fan of that. But there are a few gaps where I wish it just contoured a little bit better. One spot in particular mainly is gonna come to the clamp. You can see there's almost like a slight gap in there. It's not too bad. I just wish it was just a little bit closer. And something to think about too is we do have this rubber coating on the inside of the clamp. So even if it was making contact, it wouldn't scratch anything up. You can get a few measurements too. So the first one I'm gonna get is gonna be the distance underneath the crossbars, and that's gonna be a little bit over 3 inches. So that's important to know to see how your clamps are gonna interact with this. And 3 inches, that's pretty good. You'll have plenty of room to
