Thank you for watching our Dodge Charger front bumper cover removal video. This was our first time removing the plastic bumper cover for a brand new Dodge Charger. It wasn't the easiest bumper we've done but it was a great experience. We specialize in pre-painted auto body parts and we paint a lot of these Charger bumpers. This particular Charger was our shipper's car and we were just replacing his fender for him. Yes, you have to take off the bumper to replace the fender but that is another video. TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a screwdriver, a socket wrench, or an impact gun with 10mm and 7mm sockets. You will also need a panel clip removal tool but you can also use a flat-head screwdriver instead.

PROCESS:
This bumper removal starts off easy enough. Like every other replacement video we do, we like to start on the bottom of the bumper and remove any bolts or clips, if any. It's pretty easy and straightforward to do. Then we move onto the wheel wells and separate the fender liner from the bumper. This is also very easy, as it only has a couple of clips holding the liner in. Every bumper will typically have a bolt securing the fender to the bumper. This marvelous Charger has three. Yup, three bolts holding the fender and bumper together, and they aren't the easiest to get to. You'll have to take off more clips on the fender liner to allow for spacing. You could also remove the tire and fender liner altogether to make it a lot easier but we felt like that was too much work. So, we just put our hand far back into the fender and removed the two annoying bolts with just the socket and no wrench. They were surprisingly loose bolts and once we removed them we realized that there was one closer to the headlights and top bumper after we took off the radiator cover. So, remove the cover held on by clips, and take off the 3rd bolt. You will also have to separate the air dam from the fender liner as well, it's secured by 3 screws. Some of you may have foglights and may not need to do this step. Lastly, unplug the side marker lights on the bumper and you can fully remove the bumper after all your hard work.
