In this video, we spotlight Porygon-Z for the Regulation H format for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet VGC. Normally, Porygon-2 is what is seen and played more competitively in VGC doubles and that is still true! However, with power creep down, Porygon-Z can actually still find a role within the meta as a niche glass cannon sweeper thanks to the coverage it gets in moves like Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, & Dark Pulse. Both abilities are quite strong in for a damage boost, both Download has good flexibility. The easiest way to use the Porygon-Z is to add it to a tailwind hyper offensive core and have it fill a role that a solid 4 or 5 Pokemon core is missing.
