Soloing Secrets - Steve Cropper

Описание к видео Soloing Secrets - Steve Cropper

Hey everyone! here's the next episode of Soloing Secrets with Steve Cropper. I've had a lot of requests to feature more of the legendary Steve Cropper's music and this time around we're hitting some of his lead work - so let's dive in!

Steve Cropper is an essential guitar pioneer and icon, as his work behind-the-scenes as a session ace at Stax Records and defined songs with his guitar work on classics such as Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay, Soul Man, Knock On Wood, In The Midnight Hour, and many more! Aside from his session work, Steve is also a founding member of Booker T. & The MG's, a certified Blues Brother, and much more!

The ideas shared in this lesson include an extensive look at Steve's classic use of melodic sixths, which includes how to find them directly from the major scale, and shifting the sixth template between E and A major (to help you get started). From there, we're hitting a number of classic songs that feature some of these moves and essential Steve Cropper licks - including sections of songs such as Trashy Dog, Big Bird, Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay, Rattlesnake, Land Of 1000 Dances, and more!

Needless to say, if you're a Steve Cropper fan, an R&B/Soul player, a guitarist wanting to learn more about using the popular sixth interval melodically, or maybe you're just curious what all the fuss is about - this lesson sis totally for you!
