DEAN CROWE steps into the ring for the Stoke City Community Trust

DEAN CROWE has been named as the first former Potter to take part in the Community Trust’s eagerly anticipated Red & White Collar Boxing night next year.

The former Academy graduate made 67 first team appearances for the Potters, scoring 13 goals in all competitions from 1997 to 2000.

Now 39-years-old, Crowe will be donning his boxing gloves on Friday 12th April when he takes part in the Community Trust’s fight night at the Kings Hall in Stoke.

He will be waiting with anticipation to discover his opponent, with more familiar names taking part in the event due to be announced in the coming weeks.

Speaking about the night, Crowe said: “This is something I’ve never done before, it’s a bit different but I’m well up for it, I love a challenge.

“I’ve had many of them, including a few personal battles over the last few years, so one more won’t do me any harm.

“I’ll be ready for it, it will be a great night for everybody, it’s all for charity and of course it’s great to give something back.”
