The best way to meet new people and make more friends as an expat in Germany is MEETUPS.

In Frankfurt, there are so many Meetup groups over different activities like sports, outdoor hikes, board games and social meetings. Last weekend we went on a hike with a Meetup group organised by Andreas to Wiesbaden, the capital of Hessen state. This area of Middle Rhine Valley comes under UNESCO heritage centre because of its beautiful wine mountains, valleys and castles.

Our hike was fun filled with many conversations with people from around the world. We shared stories about our countries, cultures and personal interests. The hike ended in Naurod, a small town near Wiesbaden which was super happening with the Apple blossom fest (Apfelblütenfest) and partied along with the locals.
