In the past two years, a new dawn for district heating and cooling solutions has risen in Europe, triggered by the energy crisis.

The Fitfor55' package, which puts in place a new framework for the growth and decarbonisation of heating networks, was adopted in January 2024, and several EU countries have already announced ambitious plans to continue developing this essential infrastructure such as Germany, France, Austria or the Czech Republic.
