Our Kei campervan is a Nissan NV100 and saying that it is a tiny camper would be an understatement. This Japanese truck is minuscule! But we are making the most of it with our extra blankets, microwave, ambiance lighting and the fact that this van is really chap on gas.

Night one was cold, after all this is winter van life. But the next morning we were rewarded with some incredible sightings of the famous Japanese snow monkeys at the Jigokudani Monkey Park before making our way to Mt Fuji which was incredibly clear.

This is when we got lucky as I was approached by a local photographer who invited us to join him the next morning to photograph the Diamond Fuji which is a rare natural phenomenon where the rising sun aligns perfectly with the summit of Mt. Fuji, creating a dazzling, jewel-like burst of light. These authentic moment are why we travel and what these travel vlogs are all about.

Up next, we drove all the way to Kyoto to explore one of the most famous temple in the world, the Fushimi Inari Taisha which is a Shinto shrine a truly beautiful and peaceful place. A must visit while in Japan if you ask us.

To end our trip, we of course had to visit the bowing deers at the Nara Deer Park. It was hard to believe for us before going but as soon as we arrived at the Nara Park and bought some food, the deers actually starting bowing to get a cracker.

Overall, this was a really fun experience that surely tested our relationship. We are obviously used to being together all the time as full-time travellers but being in such small space took it to al whole new level. Our Kei Campervan did great and stealth camping i Japan is not needed as they have such an incredible network of roadside rest areas with vending machines, toilets and more making this super fun to do.
