Me & @onedanandhistent decided to check out the Alport Castles in the Peak district. There was minimal parking for the short walk up to the castles.

After a short walk along a well marked footpath make your way over a river and up into the hills. The towers can be seen from the farm and just past the river.

The main event if you decided to do it is a rather verticle grade 1 scrambling route and there are routes to the side of it that are supposed to make it grade 3. Well worth the short walk up.
