Aldia is the final boss of Dark Souls 2: SOTFS edition. During your journey throughout Dark Souls II you will encounter him multiple times, each time monologuing about something deep and profound.

Like Nashandra, Aldia's boss fight is not particularily amazing. That being said, the character is and that's why he deserved his own episode in the Scuffed series.
