Should you Believe in Miracles?

The healing of the sick and the potential to bestow blessings (material or otherwise) is one of the hallmarks of the Christian tradition that embraces a more Biblical and by extension a Christ-centered (as opposed to a Church-centered) view of God.

A notable feature in the Protestant world, particularly in the evangelical tradition, is pastors and preachers claim to possess the ability to heal physical ailments and spiritual (mental) disorders. But is this real?

Critically, can or should the faithful come to rely on such miraculous solutions to pressing human problems, and where does it leave the work of the medical and scientific communities to address these very issues?
