HOLY GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO SAINT JOHN
There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.
When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine."
(And) Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come."
His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you."
Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons.
Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim.
Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it.
And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom
and said to him, "Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now."
Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.
CEBUANO TRANSLATION
ANG PAGBASA GIKAN SA EBANGHELYO SUMALA NI SAN JUAN
Sa ikatulo ka adlaw may kasal didto sa lungsod sa Cana, sa Galilea, ug didto ang inahan ni Jesus. Gidapit usab si Jesus ug ang iyang mga tinun-an. Sa nahutdan na silag bino, ang inahan ni Jesus miingon kaniya, “Wala na silay bino.” Si Jesus mitubag, “Babaye, ayaw akog tudloi kon unsay akong buhaton. Wala pa moabot ang akong panahon.” Unya giingnan sa inahan ni Jesus ang mga sulugoon, “ Buhata ninyo bisan unsay iyang isugo kaninyo.” Ang mga Judio may mga tulumanon sa ilang tinuohan labot sa pagpanglinis, ug tungod niini didtoy gibutang nga unom ka tadyawng bato nga sudlanan og tubig; ang matag usa kasudlan og kawhaan ngadto sa katloan ka galon nga tubig. Si Jesus miingon sa sulugoon, “Pun-a ninyog tubig kining mga tadyaw.” Ug ila kining gipuno. Unya miingon siya kanila, “Kab-a ang tubig ug dad-a ngadto sa mga tinugyanan sa mga kombira.” Ug gidala nila kini ngadto kaniya, ug iyang gitilawan ang tubig nga nahimo nang bino. Wala siya masayod kon diin gikan ang maong bino (apan nasayod ang mga sulugoon nga maoy nagkabo sa tubig); busa gitawag niya ang bana ug giingnan, “Nabatasan sa kadaghanan ang pagdalit pag-una sa labing maayong bino, ug kon makainom na pag-ayo ang mga bisita, anha pa idalit ang bino nga dili maayo kaayo; apan karon pa nimo idalit ang maayong bino!” Gihimo ni Jesus kining una niyang milagro didto sa Cana, sa Galilea. Didto gipadayag niya ang iyang himaya ug nanuo kaniya ang iyang mga tinun-an. Human niini, Si Jesus, ang iyang inahan ug ang iyang mga igsoong lalaki, ingon man ang iyang mga tinun-an nangadto sa Capernaum ug nagpablin sila didtog pipila ka adlaw.
