Описание к видео Indian Wildlife Documentary: The Colourful Birds Of The Western Ghats

We welcome you to enjoy this short film that showcases some of the most colourful and beautiful birds found in the Western Ghats, India.

Filmed by us in March 2024, this short film is all about the colourful birds that live or migrate to this stunning part of India.

We begin by watching some of the rare and endemic birds found in this region, such as Malabar barbets. We then understand the importance of the Western Ghats and how these elevated regions affect the climate of not just the Western coast of India but also that of Central India too.

The film then goes on to tell the stories of a number of special birds, from little Indian White-eyes to the striking Malabar Pied Hornbills. In telling the stories of these birds, we also explain why some of these birds are so colourful and how males and females of the same species can sometimes have such different appearances.

We hope you enjoy this short wildlife film. A massive thank you to all the staff at Old Magazine house at Dandeli, Karnataka. Without their expertise and guidance we would not have been able to see and film so many of these amazing species!
