06. 태평무(한영숙류)
태평무는 나라의 풍년과 태평성대를 기원 하는 왕비의 마음을 담고 있는 한국의 대표적 전통춤 중의 하나이다. 오늘 공연되는 태평무는 故한성준옹의 춤을 원류로 하여 홀춤으로는 우리나라 최초의 인간문화재이셨던 故한영숙 선생께서 춤 형식을 더욱 가다듬고 깊이 천착하여 예술무용으로 승화시킨 춤으로, 그의 제자 박재희에 의하여 그 전통성을 잃지 않고 오늘에 이르고 있는 작품이다.
더욱이 이 춤은 다른 춤에서는 찾아보기 힘든 다양한 장단과 함께 독특하고 세밀한 발놀림, 절제된 호흡, 그리고 절도 있고 무게감 있는 춤사위 등을 모두 내포하고 있어 춤꾼으로서의 기량을 유감없이 나타낼 수 있는 춤이다.

06. Taepyeongmu (Han Yeong-suk Style)
Taepyeongmu is choreographed with the heart of king and queen who wished for the peace and prosperity of their nation. The dance, which is presented today, is choreographed based on the original dance made by late Master Han Seong-jun and modified by late Master Han Yeong-suk, who was the first human cultural property. Her disciple Park Jae-hui is now transmitting the tradition.
Moreover, the dance follows the complicated musical rhythms and is very unique in that they create rotating movements by making circles with the feet. The steps are not only grave but also nimble, showing the artistic skills of a dancer.
