What WATER Rescue kit mountain rescue use | Flood search and rescue

A Water Rescue team member of the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team, talks through the equipment the team wears when a water rescue is necessary.

The water rescue team is made up of Swift Water Rescue Technicians (SRTs) which are UK DEFRA Mod 3 qualified and Water First Responders which are UK DEFRA Module 2 qualified. Both qualifications require extensive training and assessment for the initial qualification. Ongoing training and recerfification is required to maintain the qualification.
