BECOMING A THAI BUDDHIST MONK - Ceremony

Becoming a Thai Buddhist monk doesn't have to be so much of a commitment in the same sense as traditional Christians, if you have a job in Thailand you can have 15 days leave to be a monk before going back to your regular job, this is very accepted in Thai culture.
It is a big deal with friends and family and often something people try to do at least once in their life.
Buddhism is a very interesting religion, some do not even describe it as a religion but more a way of life. The complexities are too much for me to write about here.
This temple (Wat Santi Nikhom Samakkhi Tham) in Lampang, Northern Thailand was beautiful and unlike any temple I have been to before in Thailand or in the world, I loved my tour there.
