Spanish - The Imperfect Tense Explained In 7 Minutes

Описание к видео Spanish - The Imperfect Tense Explained In 7 Minutes

In this video, I explain the imperfect tense in Spanish. The imperfect tense is a form of the past tense used to indicate things that USED TO HAPPEN or WERE HAPPENING in the past tense. It’s considered to be the easiest tense to understand and memorize because it doesn’t have any irregular exceptions, aside from three verbs (ir, ver, and ser). For -ar verbs, the endings for the pronouns are -aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -abais, -aban. For -er/-ir verbs, the endings are -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, ían. In the video, I go more in-depth and explain every concept individually with the inclusion of newer concepts like “estar” in the present progressive in the imperfect, and comparisons with the past simple.

Feel free to share this video with people you know who love learning languages or with people in general. I very much appreciate the support.

About me:

I’m Alex, and I’m a student at UNLV. As I major in Spanish, I advance in my linguistic skills, learn new concepts, and understand how learning within languages works. I’m fluent in Russian, Hebrew, and English, and I’m learning Spanish and German. I’m simply trying to make languages seem very easy.

As a disclaimer, I’m NOT a teacher and never taught a day in my life, but I faced many horrible teachers (especially in languages), so I’ve decided to educate on these topics using my way, better than how most people would teach them. What works for me may or may not work for you, and that’s okay because we all have our unique ways of learning.
