Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost Engine TOWING **Heavy Mechanic Review** | Is It the BEST ??

I review a 2023 Ford F150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost V6 twin turbo charged engine and see how well this powerful engine tows up hills. the 3.5L ecoboost comes with 400hp and 500lb-ft of torque. I also talk about the fuel economy issues with these engines when towing. is it the Best Towing Engine ?



the ford 3.5L Ecoboost was the best towing engine with my 8000lbs flat deck so I figured with our new enclosed trailer I would bring out the big guns in this 3.5L ecoboost to set the bench mark for the rest of the 1500 truck engines

you would think a big displacement V8 would easily outpower a V6 when towing a heavy load but these v6 ecoboost comes with twin turbos which makes a huge difference.

the benefits and advantages of this 3.5L ecoboost with turbos is that the engines does not need to downshift into higher RPMs like a trational naturally aspirated V8 does.

overall this 3.5L ecoboost in the f150 is an awesome towing truck but it also drinks soo much fuel it wasnt funny.

I was shocked at how poor the fuel economy and MPG was when this engine was towing.
