Lake District Cat Bells walk | Borrowdale Valley + Keswick Boat Ride

Описание к видео Lake District Cat Bells walk | Borrowdale Valley + Keswick Boat Ride

On this trip, I fell in LOVE with the Borrowdale Valley inside the Lake District National Park. In this video, we have a quick nosey around Keswick town centre, before taking the Keswick Boat across Derwent Water to Hawes End to undertake one of the most popular Lake District Birkett Walk 's - the Catbells Wainwright. The route for the most part is well maintained - most of it is owned and managed by the National Trust, though there are some sections allowing hikers to have a good old Lake District Scramble - should they choose (as there are alternative paths off to the side of the scramble sections). The Cat Bells walk is incredibly popular among those who choose to visit Cumbria. In part because it is an easy Lake District walk, but when you combine the walk with the Keswick Boat - known as the Keswick Launch, it's a rather splendid way of beginning and ending the Catbells Hike. Should you wish to extend the walk further, once at Cat Bells elevation of 1481', it's not too much more effort to reach Maiden Moor, which is easily seen on a clear day.
