I got Ford Focused AGAIN! The shift tower pin decided to break, so I have made a vid showing most of the details of how to fix it. The original pin is a spiral type pin, i couldn't find one. the recommended fix is M6 x 30mm allan head grade 10.9 bolt. i couldn't get that either, so I used a 1/4" x 2" allan head cap screw, and a normal hex nut. I used loctite on the nut, as well as chiselling the threads to upset them. Note, I had to machine the bolt to 0.236" diameter to fit the hole, as well as cut it to 1-3/8" long. I have driven the car, so the fix has worked out.
