Gisele MacKenzie: Songs from Your Hit Parade #9

Описание к видео Gisele MacKenzie: Songs from Your Hit Parade #9

Gisele MacKenzie spent four wonderful years (1953-1957) performing the top songs of the U.S. every Saturday night on the very popular live program, Your Hit Parade. In this selection of hit tunes and extras, Gisele shows her amazing versatility as a singer, performer, musician and actress:

The Rock and Roll Waltz begins with a shot of Gisele on the cover of the then current issue of TV Guide (an honor Gisele would receive 4 times) then finds Gisele as a lady on the street being interviewed about her thoughts on this music craze.

Next Gisele is seen on the cover of a Canadian magazine which transitions into Gisele's performance of the Perry Como hit, Wanted, where she plays a lady seeking help from a private detective in finding a man of her own.

Next up Gisele MacKenzie is joined by her Hit Parade co-star, Dorothy Collins, for a commercial jingle for the show's sponsor Lucky Strike Cigarettes.

Don't Forbid me teams Gisele and co-star Dorothy Collins as the girls of Charley Chaplin's little tramp's dreams.

That's All I Want from You finds Gisele on a park bench with her beau, who is willing to give her everything (including the Mona Lisa), except what she wants: true love.

April Shows displays Gisele's gifts as a singer and dancer as she and the Hit Paraders welcome Spring 1956.
