If you have lived with insomnia for a long period of time, your sleep confidence is going to be very fragile (or even non-existent). So, it's very easy and completely natural to dwell on the more difficult nights of sleep and completely ignore any better nights of sleep.

Unfortunately, dwelling on the more difficult nights and spending too much time thinking about them isn't constructive because doing so can activate the arousal system and make sleep more difficult.
