"Whoever You Are, I Love You" is from the Broadway play "Promises, Promises", composed by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, (1968). Recently released as part of the 4 disc set, 2015, in "Johnny Mathis - The Singles". Johnny's sensitive phrasing and the lush orchestration are beautifully paired. Johnny recorded this single in 1969 (thx for the edit info, friend 😊) This was new for me - loved 'finding' it. The disc set is a stellar collection of classics.
