With the bottom end of your Honda CB175 / CL175 / SL175 / CB200 / CL200 carburetor rebuilt and buttoned up—you did watch part one of the rebuild series, didn’t you?—it’s time to start on the slide assembly. Once again, Brenden is here to talk you through the process and, along the way, impart his hard-won carburetor wisdom on you.

In this video, Brenden walks us through each step of reassembling the carburetor slide and reinstalling it in the carb body. Along the way he discusses the installation and use of the idle mixture (air bleed) screw and idle speed screw, as well as the ins and outs of the choke mechanism, choke linkage, and all the fiddly little pieces inside the slide.

Assembling and installing the slide and slide needle.
