The New GW-9400YJ G-Shock Rangeman Japanese Edition with Yellow Carbon Fiber Band In Depth Review

Описание к видео The New GW-9400YJ G-Shock Rangeman Japanese Edition with Yellow Carbon Fiber Band In Depth Review

It's Rangeman Mania around my place right now with the arrival, straight from Japan, of the 2023 edition GW-9400YJ-1JF with yellow highlights around the face of the watch and a two-tone, yellow and black band with a carbon fiber insert. My previous GW-9400 still works and looks fine... but this one with the yellow accents looks amazing.

I start this video by talking about the variety of Rangeman watches which have been available since 2013 and the reasoning behind my decision to buy this specific model right now. If you'd rather skip all of that just run ahead to about the 10:00 mark. If you want to see my original review video of my first Rangeman from a few years ago you can look here...    • Casio G-Shock Rangeman GW9400 In Dept...

And if you want to see my video showing what happens when the 1,000-hour stopwatch actually reaches the 1,000-hour mark, look here...    • My Casio G-Shock Rangeman Reaching 1,...

The Rangeman watch uses Module 3410. It's solar powered, using Casio's Tough Solar power supply to keep the batteries charged automatically with normal exposure to normal lighting conditions during daylight hours. It's an "atomic clock" receiver using Multi Band 6 atomic time reception to automatically keep the watch set to the correct time every day. (In North American it can receiver WWVB.) It has Casio's Triple Sensor (or ABC sensor), which includes a compass, a thermometer and a barometer. The barometer is used both to show barometric pressure readings and to calculate altitude measurements. The Triple Sensor readings can be displayed in metric or non-metric values (meters/feet, C/F, etc.). The user can also use this watch to record altitude readings for later review or to track altitude changes while climbing and hiking.

These watches also feature five daily alarms (one of which is a snooze alarm), an hourly chime, a one thousand-hour stopwatch, a countdown timer (up to 24 hours) and a World Time mode to display the time in another time zone anywhere in the world. This will also calculate sunrise and sunset times for the current time zone with the ability to enter latitude and longitude coordinates for more accurate calculations. The watches also have LED backlights with an automatic backlight setting available.

Of course, you shouldn't overlook the 200-meter water resistance and the legendary shock resistance of this sturdy G-Shock.

In this video I go over the functions, features and set-up procedures for this watch. This module has been available since 2013 and Casio has released 31 watches using this module, in various colors using resin and/or carbon fiber materials for the bezels and watch bands.
