Fascinating look at the old station, passengers loading for the "last trip", walking down the line to the abandoned roundhouse and turntable, built in 1893. From being the major maintenance shops and repair area for the locomotives of the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad. The roundhouse had the capacity to hold and repair 17 engines at one time. When the Canadian National Railroad merged with the B&LE, the maintenance shop were abandoned, 2004. The turntable was supposedly still operating in 2006. Keep the history live...
