Medievil - Pools Of The Ancient Dead

Pools Of The Ancient Dead in my Medievil walkthrough.

As the level name suggests, there's some Ancient Dead, and some Pools. Knock the fatties into the water with your Broad Sword, because their armour can't be penetrated. The slimmer Knights that attack you can be killed with conventional methods. The hardest part of this level is probably the platforming element. Collecting the Lost Souls (represented by the Golden Helmets) makes some of the bridges disappear, and you frequently have to jump over the water. You need to Daring Dash and Jump to get over most of them. Time it wrong and you either won't jump, and will fall in, or you won't jump far enough.

The Life Bottle is also worth getting, been a while since we've had one in a level.

Once you've obtained the Chalice head to the man in the boat. He was being retarded and wouldn't initiate the second phase of conversation with me so I wasted a few Vials jumping about like an idiot trying to get it to work. Leave the area (not the level though) and come back if he behaves this way.

If you have all 8 Souls he'll give you passage to the Lake. I don't think you automatically go there, so I recommend going back to a smallish early level with a couple of Health Regeneration spots if you think you're not up to the hardest level in the game.

A Scouser gives you his Magic Sword (that he has obviously stolen) in the Hall of Heroes.
