Making British Scones

We had the pleasure of being invited over to a new friend's home whilst in the UK for scones and clotted cream, and had to give making them a go. They were delicious! Clotted cream is in limbo between butter and whipped cream, but is somehow not mutually exclusive with butter. You put both on the scone with some jam. It's fantastic.

A British scone is pretty similar to an American biscuit, which is very different from a British biscuit. The recipe we used is here: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/c...

For the Americans, you can google making clotted cream since it's not in stores. It's essentially cream with the water evaporated out.
