Metroid Prime Hunters – Frozen Ruins (Arcterra theme #2)

Arcterra theme #2 from Metroid Prime Hunters, played on various hardware sound modules that were also used in the soundtrack of the Metroid Prime trilogy.

A long time ago I made a simple cover of this theme using old KORG sound modules like the M1R, M3R, and Wavestation A/D. This time I decided to use more modern sounds from a Proteus 2000 (Composer ROM, Beat Garden ROM and XROM), SC-880, as well as the iconic "Ice Field" from an MS2000BR. Of course I still used the "Krypton" sound from my M3R, and for percussion I used simple analog sounds from a modular synthesizer instead of searching sampled sounds on the Proteus 2000.

Originally I started working on this track with the idea of creating some mixture between Arcterra and Phendrana Drifts, but I quickly realized that proper use of the "St. Choir Aahs" and synth percussion can turn this into something entirely different.
