Programming the Motorola GM350

Описание к видео Programming the Motorola GM350

In this video I go over the programming of the Motorola GM350, this is based on a low band VHF model with 4 channels, however it would also apply to the other versions both 4-channel and 128-channel versions.

These radios are readily available on eBay, they're usually surplus taxi radios so would usually require reprogramming to the amateur radio bands, however the version of the RSS I have found is prone to crashing when CTCSS/DCS (PL/DPL in Motorola parlance) is set, though it can be enabled and disabled per channel on the overview screen and written to the radio.

The interface I use to do this is a homebrew design I found on the website of George Smart M1GEO and the build video of my version is    • Building a programming cable for the ...  .

Of course you do this at your own risk as I have heard that using USB can brick the radio however this method using a virtual machine and the USB to TTL converter showing itself as a serial port has worked fine and cause the radio no problems at all.

Help support the channel, basic level for only £0.99 or early access for an extra £2.00:
