I see so many beautiful galaxy paintings from different artists, and thought I would try my hand at an encaustic version. Of course, shellac burn is the perfect technique to compliment such an attempt, but the real focus was blending colors with my heat gun to achieve a really unique, beautiful painting with a lot of depth.
Of course, having your vision match the end result is always a challenge. There are a few things I would do differently.
How would you create a galaxy piece with encaustic wax?
