Cook with Me for the Jewish Holiday of Rosh Hashanah! JEWISH FAMILY VLOG

It's time to make Rosh Hashanah dinner, I'm cooking brisket, salmon, noodle kugel, honey cookies and everything else for the Jewish New Year! Shana Tova!

Recipes:

Honey Crinkle Cookies https://overtimecook.com/2017/09/05/h...

Brisket - 3 to 4 lbs.
Rub:
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
3/4 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Sauce:
1/2 cup Tabatchnick Beef Broth
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 cups ketchup + bbq sauce (I like 3/4 cup each)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp EACH black pepper, onion powder, mustard powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Method:
Mix the rub together in a ziplock bad and massage it into the brisket. Let it rest for a half hour at least. Then mix the sauce in the slow cooker, add the brisket in fat side down. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Slice & serve!

Kugel
1 lb. lochshen noodles
2 eggs
1/2 cup apple sauce
3/4 cup raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cook the noodles and let it cool. Mix eggs, apple sauce, raisins, vanilla and honey. Add in the cooled noodles. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 25 minutes at 350F.

Salmon

Mix 1/2 cup greek goddess dressing with 1/4 cup Tabtchnick vegetable broth. Add salt and pepper. Pour over salmon and bake at 400F until cooked through, about 20 minutes.
