Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram stated that PM Modi's BJP government will not think twice about eliminating reservations. The 103rd amendment, which stipulates a 10% quota for economically weaker sections (EWS), according to the seasoned Congress leader, is a diluting of reservations.

At the India Today Group's premier event, the two-day India Today Conclave Mumbai 2024, Chidambaram made the comments on Thursday. "Congress's Blueprint for New India" was the title of the session.
