Andal, also known as Kodai is a goddess in Tamil culture, symbolizing divine devotion and love. Born in the 8th century CE in Srivilliputhur, Tamil Nadu, she epitomizes unwavering dedication to Lord Vishnu. Andal's profound affection for the divine is beautifully expressed through her timeless poetry, particularly the Thiruppavai and Naachiyar Thirumozhli, which resonate with devotees across generations. Her verses, rich in emotion and vivid imagery, serve as a source of spiritual inspiration, fostering a deep connection with the divine. Andal is celebrated as a beloved goddess of love and devotion in the Vaishnavite tradition, revered for her role in guiding devotees on the path of bhakti (devotion) towards Lord Vishnu.
