Remote Maine Canoeing / St. John River! 115 mile trip May 2020

"Pistol" Pete Cloutier, a.k.a Dad, and David Cloutier (MaineTripper) take on the mighty St.John River in Maine. We were blessed with unbelievably favorable weather for our 7 day 110 mile journey. We experienced only a small spit of rain on our very last day. Pistol and Dave teamed up with 4 other canoe trippers on the 3rd day and all decided to finish the river together for the final 5 days. Other than the 6 of us there was no other human sighting for the entirety of the trip. Observed Moose, Mergansers, Eagles, Canadian Geese, and Beaver. Several bear were observed by the crew that joined us the day before we met. Relationships were established and all canoeists made it down the St.John River safely without dumping in Big Black Rapids and Big Rapids. Exceptional journey, a special memory with my father Pistol Pete and new friendships made in Ryan, Jake, Chris and his son Isiah. What could be better!
