[Randy McIntosh] Following the Evolution of TheVirtualBrains Multiscale Modelling Approach

Speaker: Dr. Randy McIntosh, Simon Fraser University

Dr. McIntosh is a Professor at SFU, BC Leadership Chair in Neuroscience and Technology Transfer Across the Lifespan and Director of the Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (INN). His research involves computational modeling and brain imaging to explore changes in cognition across the lifespan and changes in the face of brain damage or disease. The program builds on an international collaboration that delivered TheVirtualBrain (thevirtualbrain.org) and integrates research efforts globally to accelerate research and translation.

Dr. McIntosh is introduced by Dr. Lisa Julian, Canada Research Chair in Developmental Origins of Stem Cell Fate and Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, SFU.
