Arunachalam Giri Pradakshinam is a sacred hill in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India. It's a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus, especially devotees of Lord Shiva.

Significance
The Arunachalam hill is considered one of the five sacred elements (Pancha Bootha) representing the element of Fire (Agni). The hill is about 2,669 feet (814 meters) tall and is surrounded by eight lingams, each representing a different direction.

Giri Pradakshinam
Giri Pradakshinam refers to the circumambulation (pradakshina) of the Arunachalam hill. Devotees walk around the hill, covering a distance of about 14 kilometers (8.7 miles), as a form of worship and spiritual practice. This ritual is believed to bring spiritual growth, peace, and liberation.

Tiruvannamalai Temple
The Arunachaleswarar Temple, located at the base of the hill, is a famous Shiva temple and a major pilgrimage center. The temple complex is home to several shrines, halls, and tanks, and is considered one of the most sacred temples in South India.
