Authentic Dishes With My Personal Touch 😍

Ingredients

Maida - 21/2 cup plus 3 tbsp
Luke Warm Milk - 1/2 Cup
Water - 1/4 cup
Egg -1
Oil -3tbsp
Salt - 1tsp
Sugar -11/2 tsp
Baking Soda - one pinch

Method

Take a basin add an egg. Beat it well. Add sugar and salt. Mix well. Add a pinch of baking soda. Mix well. Add warm milk, add oil and water. Mix well. Add Maida in batches to the wet ingredients. Mix it with a fork. Make the dough soft.

You knead the dough for 15 mins. Keep it for resting in the basin for 2-3 hours. Brush some oil on the top of the dough. Cover it with cloth.

Again knead the dough for 2 -3 mins. Then make small balls. Brush some more oil on the parotta balls. Use a rolling pin to flatten the balls. Make it as thin as possible. Flatten it well. Keep brushing oil in between. Remove it from the counter and fold it to the center from all the sides. Fold the edges to the bottom as shown in 7:05 mins. Keep it for resting for 10 mins.

Take a tawa. Fry the parotta in oil. We need oil for this recipe. It has to be cooked well on all sides. The heat of the tawa should be on medium. Keep pouring oil on the top at intervals. Fry on both the sides. Also the sides should be fried well. Remove it to a plate. Beat the parotta like shown in 11:00 mins.
