EFFICIENT WEED CONTROL | Meet my Dad!

Welcome!

In today's video I’m here with my dad at my parents’ house where he’s demonstrating one of his go-to methods for controlling weeds (especially on a large scale!) using a fairly small amount of chemicals.

Using a fine mist, he quickly makes a few passes to cover a large area, eliminating weeds for several weeks.

For a 3 Gallon Backpack Sprayer:

1 cup Glyphosate (41% active ingredient)
1/4 cup lawn fertilizer
Squirt or two of dish soap
3 gallons of water

His FAVORITE way to kill weeds is by using an organic spray called Weed Slayer, which uses clove oil to slowly eliminate weeds and control them for a long period of time. Along with hand weeding, they used Weed Slayer a lot during their years running an organic cherry orchard. It is not currently available but we hope it will be again soon since it’s such a great, effective, and safe product.
