This afternoon we tackled “Heartbreak Hill”. As you can see, it’s long, shale-covered, steep and rutted. All the wrong ingredients.

I reckon I would have made it if I didn’t have to jump lines to get around the stalled rider. :-(

Poor old Tony had to wrangle 11 bikes up the hill with almost everyone binning it. Poor bugger was toasted so we’re all buying his drinks tonight.
