Cooking Pot Rice

1. Place pre-soaked rice in a pot and add 2 cups of water (using a standard measuring cup).
2. Leave the lid off and boil over high heat.
3. When it starts boiling, stir the rice gently with a spoon.
4. After stirring, turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
5. With the lid still on, cook on low heat for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Turn off the heat and let the rice sit with the lid on for another 5 minutes to steam. Your rice is ready!


Cooking Laver Salad

1. Stack 2 sheets of seaweed and toast them on a hot frying pan.
※ Flip until the seaweed changes color slightly.
2. Place the toasted seaweed in a plastic bag and crush it by rubbing the bag.
3. Add 3T soy sauce, 1T fish sauce, 2T plum syrup, and 2T sesame oil to the crushed seaweed and mix.
4. Finely chop 3 green chili peppers and 2 red chili peppers.
5. Add 1T corn syrup, 2T sesame seeds, the chopped peppers, and 1T minced garlic to the seaweed mixture and mix again. Your dish is ready!

Cooking Laver Chips

1. Mix 2 cups of water, ½ cup cooking wine, and 1t salt.
2. Dip rice paper in the mixture and attach it to the seaweed, covering it completely.
※ Trim the rice paper to match the size of the seaweed for a neat finish.
3. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the top.
4. Microwave for 15 seconds on each side to slightly dry them.
5. Once dried, cut the sheets into bite-sized pieces.
※ If not fully dried, microwave for an additional 10–15 seconds.
6. Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry the pieces for 5–10 seconds on each side until crispy.
7. Place the chips on a plate and sprinkle with salt or sugar to taste. Ready to serve!
