For this method, you will need to install the Google Channel app in your Shopify store. You can download the app from here: https://apps.shopify.com/google

Now, what are the benefits of using the Shopify product feed?

Firstly, it’s straightforward to set up. It also creates what’s called a dynamic feed. This means that when fields change on your product page, say you update your product descriptions, this will update in the feed and your Google Shopping Ads.

But what are the issues with this method?

It’s the best method if you’re just starting your google shopping journey and want to get started as quickly as possible. The problem happens when you have more and more products and you want to edit them more easily.

Also, you can’t easily edit products in bulk with the Shopify app, and it’s a bit clunky. So if you have above 100 products, don’t use this method, use the Google Sheets method or even some enterprise software like Data Feed Watch.

For most people starting out, this doesn’t matter and you often have less than 100 products so you can use this method easily and it will be perfect for you.
