Dynam Cessna Grand Cruiser V2, AKA Cessna 310

I put this plane together a week ago. This is the 3rd day I've flown it at our field. I am using 2200mAh 3s batteries and getting 6 minute flights. After these flights, I used some adhesive letters to add the name "Songbird" to the fuselage. "From out of the blue Western skies comes...Sky King." The second plane on his show was a Cessna 310B. This one is the Cessna 310D which has a slightly longer nose. I covered the letters along with the whole plane with MinWax Polycrylic to keep the letters in place and protect the paint surfaces.

This plane flys very scale like, which is what it is best at. It will do loops, rolls, Cuban 8s, and split S's. It also flies inverted really well. However, it is as far away from a 3D plane as you can get. Everything seems to be in slow motion. But it does all that at very slow speeds. The elevator has a lot of authority, so much so that I fed in about 50% expo to take out its twichyness. Takeoffs are easy. Landings are a piece of cake. I drop the flaps, and keep about 25-30% throttle on till just as the wheels touch down. All the control surface throws are what was specified in the directions. I'm using a Spektrum AR637T receiver. I programmed safe mode onto a switch. To make sure it worked, I tested it for a few seconds until I got bored with it in that mode.

Lots of wires can be seen through the windows, and the battery makes for a really ugly pilot. It I didn't already have it all put together, I would paint the inside of the windows gray to hide all of that.
