Аэрофотосъемка: Между богатством и бедностью

The photo project titled Unequal Scenes vividly illustrates one of the main problems of modern Africa. The continent practically lacks a middle class as such. There is a real abyss between the poor and the wealthy.

The project was realized thanks to photographer Johnny Miller. The drone shots were taken in South Africa. Here, the divide between poverty and wealth even coexists geographically. One highway can separate millions of dollars from a loaf of bread for the whole day. Lavish houses contrast with simple shacks, and luxurious cars contrast with bicycles put together by hand. As the photographer himself notes, the boundaries between the elites and the poor have formally ceased to exist for over twenty years. But it all turns out to be just words. And simple photos from a height of a few hundred meters only confirm this.
