Daniils Mickevičs started playing the piano at the age of 7 at P.Jurjāns music school (teacher Ludmila Kiseļenko). Since 2018 he has been studying at Emīls Dārziņš music school (professor Ilze Treija). At the moment he is a 3rd year student of Emīls Dārziņš music school. For 11 years, Daniils has been actively participating in Republican and International competitions, and also performs at different concert venues in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Serbia, Germany etc.

• 2021/ 2-9 V – IV International piano competition “Sirmium Music Fest”, Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia (I prize un Grand Prix);
• 2021/9-15 V – Ortobello junior piano competition 2021, Ortobello, Italy (II prize);
• 2020/7-10 X – XXI International Academic Music Competition “Jurmala 2020” (I prize);
• 2019/ 13-15 X – VIII Riga International Piano Competition (II prize, category Senior B);
